Our Mission
This dictionary was created to preserve and promote Khoekhoegowab, one of the last remaining languages of the Central Khoesaan family. Our goal is to make this language accessible to both native speakers and those who wish to learn it, while also connecting speakers to the wider international community through English translations.
Khoekhoegowab is considered an endangered language. By documenting its vocabulary โ including archaic words that might otherwise be lost โ we hope to contribute to its survival and provide a valuable resource for linguistic and historical research.
